A note from Tom McNutt
I want to make a really big point about how grateful I am for the support this tournament has received from friends and businesses over the years. Thanks to my awesome webmaster David Donohue; Boundary Bay Brewery; Birch Equipment; Susan Adair and SPC; the Talbot family and the Barkley District; Avenue Bread; Kyle Bornstein; Boccemon; Seattle great - Dick’s Drive In; Playaboule; and the Bellingham Bay Bocce Club; as they have been supportive of this event since the first year. It’s hard work to put this together each year but it simply wouldn’t happen if it not for the support and friendship extended by this group. Really, what other tournament offers a lunch of bbq wild salmon, a salad of fresh greens, fresh bread from a local favorite, and the opportunity for a pint or 3 of the best microbrewery beer in the country? None far as I know or I might compete more often.
Thanks too to all the sponsors who understand that charity can be fun as well as rewarding. Please visit their websites and consider them the next time I am also truly grateful to the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center, for the invaluable services they provide to our community and also for their enthusiasm towards this event. If you have some extra cash or gold please consider making a donation (large or small) to the WDRC. They will accept it every day of the year because they need it on those days.
